Children are too often hurt by caregivers lack of common sense.  Even well meaning parents do at times harm children.

While this section is refered to as accidents, please be aware that harm is still harm even when not done to hurt. 

Certainly children do not come with a manual and common sense is not always that common, we ask that all parents/caregivers be aware of the harm being done to children which can easily be avoided.

Every year we hear of chidren being left in a car and dying from heat exhaustion or even from the cold.   Well, right now a mother of four Cadillac children sickened by carbon monoxide poisoning is being charged with second degree child abuse.

Prosecutors charged 21 year old Brandy King with the crimes this morning.

Police say they found deadly levels of carbon monoxide in the van the children, ages 1 through 4, were riding in. They say it came from the van's tailpipe with was pointing into the fender, sending exhaust fumes into the van.

All four children are in foster care.  


Never leave a child alone in any vehicle.
