West Fargo man faces sex abuse charge

WEST Fargo, N.D. (AP) A 42-year-old West Fargo man is accused of sexually abusing a girl over a period of almost five years.

Police say Delwood Mammenga admitted to the abuse, and told an officer he was working a lot and drinking heavily when it occurred and was sorry it happened.

Authorities say the abuse occurred between July 1998 and January 2003, when the girl was between the ages of 6 and 10.

Mammenga faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. He's free on $10,000 cash bail

Alleged Meth Mom Wants Her Bond Reduced

It's a follow up to a story we told you about last week...
A mom is arrested for having meth in her car with her baby.

Today, she wants her bond reduced.

Stacey Hildebrand told Judge Sonna Anderson "her children need her at home."
Judge Anderson denied Hildebrand's request.

Her bond stays at ten thousand dollars cash.

Hildebrand wanted it lowered and changed from cash to assurity.

Hildebrand has three kids.

If Hildebrand posts bond court orders say she can not leave her home with the children alone.

Authorities say they found Hildebrand passed out in her vehicle last Monday.

Her 11 month old son was in a car seat naked.

Police found packets of Meth in her vehicle.

She also has a prior child abuse conviction from 2005
Update She received a sentenced of  five years in prison for using methamphetamine. A jury found her NOT guilty of child abuse or neglect
